Dioramas

The Derby Street Diorama Museum is a community art project and space for friends and neighbors to share creative works. We believe that art a form of playful exploration that’s accessible to all people and can be a part of daily life.

Since opening in early 2025 the museum has grown from a simple structure with three galleries into separate wings showcasing work from over a dozen artists. Visit the website to learn more or arrange to display your diorama.

Background

I love miniature worlds! During grad school I began creating miniature scenes in matchboxes as a way to have a fully analog experience not focused on productivity. Years later, while pregnant and in search of meditative activities, I picked up the hobby again and found that I enjoy it even more today.
